HP has announced to launch its new Pavilion 2709m LCD wide screen Monitor. It has an aspect ratio of 16:9 and is 27″. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It supports High DVI-D, HDMI and VGA.
It supports for HDCP enables the monitor to display HDTV resolution if connected by the DVI connector.
A monitor without HDCP support, or connected by analog VGA, causes the displayed video to be downgraded in quality to a DVD-like resolution that is less than HDTV.
HDCP is also a content protection system. HDCP prevents transmission of non-encrypted high definition content.
